MAVERICK Acquires CQS Innovation
On Aug. 29, 2014, MAVERICK acquired CQS Innovation, Inc., a Michigan-based systems integrator specializing in control and information systems for life science, chemical and metals manufacturers. Together, the two companies form a powerful global organization.
Through the acquisition, MAVERICK gains:
- Expanded service offerings for the life science, chemical and metals industries
- Enhanced ISA-88 (S88) compliance expertise
- A growing team of qualified engineering and technical services professionals
- Opportunity to serve additional world-class clients
- Additional local office presence and expanded geographic footprint
A History of Strategic Growth
MAVERICK has acquired strategically aligned companies since its founding in 1999. This history of growth has allowed the company to deepen and expand its service offering as it continues its mission of empowering process manufacturing.
Mission Controls (2009)
Mission Controls was a California-based provider of systems integration and programming services for the dairy, food and beverage industries. The acquisition further strengthened MAVERICK's overall service offering.
Program4 Engineering (2009)
Program4 Engineering was a regional provider of manufacturing automation and plant process information systems solutions. The acquisition provided immediate opportunities for growth in the food and beverage, confectionery and pharmaceutical industries in the Mid-Atlantic and northeastern United States.
Laplace Technologies (2006)
Laplace Technologies was a global provider of advanced process control (APC), engineering and instrumentation services. The acquisition further expanded MAVERICK’s APC service offerings with additional engineering staff and extensive experience in implementing defined projects and consulting.
GE Automation Services (2005)
The acquisition of GE Automation Solutions (GEAS) significantly expanded MAVERICK’s business, most notably contributing new or expanded market share in key vertical markets such as utilities, environmental, high-tech / semiconductors and chemicals.
C.F. Picou Associates (2005)
As part of the GEAS acquisition, MAVERICK also acquired C.F. Picou, a leading global provider of advanced process control design and implementation services.
The acquisition of Professional Maintenance Consultants (PMC) further expanded MAVERICK’s service offering.
RHES (Vision Tech) provided industrial-hardened manufacturing, inspection and testing equipment, and engineering services. At the time of the acquisition, it had sold more than 100 patented label-inspection systems worldwide, with a focus on the vision- and barcode-inspection markets.
Software Architects (1999)
This acquisition allowed MAVERICK to offer its clients complete information technology services, linking plant floors to executive suites.
